After graduating in Three-Dimensional Design, Glenn spent a year working with blacksmiths around the UK before settling in Birmingham and creating a range of jewellery based on traditional silversmithing techniques and observations of natural forms.
Folding, forging, rolling, fusing and twisting all play a part in his making process.
Subtle textures are applied with surprising force; Hammer blows form a leaf’s delicate vein structure and the extreme pressures of a rolling mill press the fine texture of paper directly into the surface of his pod and grass designs.
“Combining techniques into processes to create new forms can yield surprising results, it’s as exciting as it is rewarding.
