Sian Elizabeth Hughes

Sian’s designs take inspiration from natural forms, she enjoys creating simple, delicate and feminine shapes from precious metals.

Sian won her first award from Contemporary Applied Arts over 10 years ago and has been designing and making jewellery by hand ever since. She has recently moved her workshop from Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter to a Worcestershire village.

“I design my jewellery collections by experimenting in folding and manipulating paper. I translate my paper experiments into silver and gold paying particular attention to colour and texture, making every piece by hand.”
